Lad’s mags (gentleman’s magazines) don’t have a great track record when its comes to design. Pick up a copy of Nuts or Balls or whatever down at Smith’s and chances are you’re not buying it for the wonderful photography and graphic design, the great layouts on the covers.

One of these magazines stands out like a beacon in a terrible sea of Abi Titmus.

Esquire has, since the thirties, been knocking out good work. They’ve got a feature on their website where you can browse through all of their covers.
